More About Me

About Darren:

Born and raised in Portland, Maine, Darren has deep roots in the area, having spent his entire life as a proud “Mainah.” Though he’s lived in various parts of the state, Portland has always been his home base. With a career spanning Sales and Marketing, Darren has been a Real Estate investor for over 30 years. Throughout this time, he’s owned a diverse portfolio of properties, from multi-unit buildings and commercial spaces to an extensive collection of waterfront properties along the Saco River in Standish. This hands-on experience has provided him with an in-depth understanding of the real estate market.

After years of being an investor and landlord, it was only natural for Darren to become a licensed Real Estate professional. As a Licensed Broker for 13 years, he’s enjoyed remarkable success, earning spots in the President’s “Diamond Society Club” multiple times for top-tier production. Darren believes in a well-rounded approach to real estate, noting, “You can’t be a one-trick pony and expect to succeed in this industry.” He works with both sellers and buyers, specializing in everything from single-family homes to multi-unit buildings, investment properties, and commercial real estate. He’s also a dedicated “waterfront specialist,” helping clients achieve their dream of owning waterfront property, much like he has done himself.

For Darren, helping first-time homebuyers achieve the American Dream of homeownership is especially rewarding. With over three decades in the business, he’s built strong relationships with top lenders and building inspectors, ensuring his clients get the best service and support. Darren’s reputation is built on hard work, honesty, and integrity—values he believes are crucial for success in real estate. His approach to business has made him the go-to agent for other brokers, who know they can trust him to negotiate firmly but professionally, ensuring smooth and successful transactions.

Outside of work, Darren is passionate about giving back to the community. He donates both time and money to organizations like The United Way, Good Shepherd Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, The Animal Refuge League, and especially Toys for Tots. Darren is deeply involved in the toy drive, volunteering countless hours, including using his box truck to collect donations from local businesses. On average, the program provides toys for around 44,000 children, ensuring that each child receives three gifts.

Darren’s guiding philosophy is simple: “This world has been good to me, and I feel it’s important to give back.”
